Chatron Lda. Strengthens Sustainability with Double Registration of EPD for its Solar Tubes

Chatron Lda., a company based in Vale de Cambra, Portugal, has consolidated its commitment to sustainability by obtaining the registration of two Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for its line of Solar Tubes.

These EPDs, numbered as DAP 007:2025 and DAP 008:2025 and registered in the DAPHabitat System, validate the environmental performance of the products based on a rigorous Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and are valid for five years, extending until May 2030.

The documents were subjected to an independent external verification in compliance with international standards NP ISO 14025, EN 15804, and EN 15942. Compliance with these rules guarantees the credibility and comparability of the disclosed environmental information.

The two EPDs cover the company's main Solar Tube models, equipment designed to bring natural light into interior spaces through roof installation:

  • DAP 007:2025: For the TS350 Solar Tube (also covering the TS250 model).

  • DAP 008:2025: For the TS750 Solar Tube (also covering the TS530 model).

This double registration reflects Chatron's continuous commitment to its organization's environmental policy. The company, which holds NP EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, aims to:

  • Minimize environmental impact while simultaneously increasing positive social impact.

  • Contribute to the reduction of carbon emissions and energy consumption.
