ALIGNED LCA Methodology Workshop

Join ALIGNED team for an engaging online workshop on Tue Oct 03 2023 from 10:00-12:00. This workshop aims at discussing Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology.

Life Cycle Assessment is an essential decision-making tool towards sustainability. The EU Horizon Europe ALIGNED project looks at LCA methodology and aims for improvements in LCA applications in the bio-based sector. This workshop is meant to test our research approach, and learn about the challenges, opinions, and ideas of LCA practitioners and other stakeholders.

In the workshop, it is plan to discuss two topics in two consecutive presentation and discussion sessions:

• How can the modelling of the life cycle inventory of bio-based products be improved?

• How can the characterisation of climate impacts of bio-based products be improved?

In both sessions, the approach taken in ALIGNED will be presented, and the discussion will be on the scientific soundness and practical applicability of such an approach.
